Social Responsibility

At Tsukuru, we believe that technology should widen access, not widen gaps. Our giving focuses on youth, education, and conservation. We work with local partners and provide practical tools that people can use today, tomorrow, together.

JAG Foundation

On the side of a community sports field, a coach finishes training and still has work to do: check in with a parent, share next week’s plan, log a safeguarding note. Phones help that happen.

Tsukuru donated rugged smartphones to the coaches of the JAG foundation. These coaches mentor children across lower-income coloured communities in the Cape, inspiring them to dedicate their time outside of education to developing their sporting skills. As these coaches travel often, and usually to rural areas where the environment is rough, dusty and unpredictable, our rugged devices help coaches engage in safer communication, quicker coordination, and consistent contact with learners and families.

Lapalala Wilderness & Black Rhino Game Reserve

Anti-poaching teams operate far from plugs and phone signal. When a track appears or a report comes in, tools must switch on and stay on.

Lapalala Wilderness is dedicated to long-term conservation and environmental education via Lapalala Wilderness School. As the largest private protected conservation area in the Waterberg Biosphere, Lapalala is home to diverse habitats and the Big Five.

Black Rhino Game Reserve is a concession on the north-western side of Pilanesberg National Park that shares open boundaries with Pilanesberg National Park and, like Lapalala, Black Rhino also dedicate their efforts to anti-poaches, especially as they are home to the Big Five as well.

Tsukuru donated field tablets and a portable power station to the anti-poaching units of Lapalala and the Black Rhino Nature Reserve. Our reliable devices keep mapping, reporting, and evidence capture running in remote terrain. Teams coordinate faster and lose less time to flat batteries.

School & Bursary Sponsorships

Talent is universal. Access is not. Each year we ring-fence a share of profits to keep doors to learning open through our bursaries, & make learning feel bigger than the classroom by contributing to local school raffles.

Tsukuru provides financial assistance for children’s education in our community. Our support can cover core costs like fees, books, uniforms, transport, or data. This small change in stability, can impact students at home, and their continuity at school - improving their chance of progression to the next grade. Tsukuru prioritizes need and potential, keep admin light, and ask for short updates so we can track progress and keep support on course.

Additionally, we also donate smartphones & smartwatches for the annual raffles at local schools, like Riviera Primary School. Stronger turnout grows funds for learning resources and activities while giving families a reason to show up and support the school, their children and the development of the community.
