Our History

At Tsukuru (つくる) — Japanese for “to create” — our purpose is plain: we create opportunities for our clients, our partners & our team.

Founded & early years (2019–2023)

Founded in 2019, Tsukuru began as the official authorized distributor of Oukitel across South and East Africa. We built trust by supplying rugged, dependable devices designed for tough environments. Customers relied on Oukitel for:

• Durability - against sudden drops, water damage , dust impact, and the southern heat.
• Endurance - larger batteries for longer periods of productivity in harsh environments.
• Reliability - for day-to-day mission critical, technical work.

Expansion and product launch (January 2024)

Listening to customer feedback, we launched our Mobile Device Management (MDM) platform in January 2024. MDM lets businesses:

• Secure and manage company devices centrally.
• Enforce security policies and control access to sensitive data.
• Remotely wipe lost or stolen devices.
• Manage device applications, track devices, and monitor related expenses.

Today —  Our End-to-End Solutions

Since 2024 we have expanded beyond device distribution. Our offerings now include:

• Workforce Management Software
• 2D Scanners & additional Accessories.
• Customized hardware and software solutions, i.e. mounts, stands, and integration of devices/software.
